On June 5, parents and their kid chefs are invited to come by Patricia's Table, a teaching kitchen for children and adults in Central Austin, for its two year anniversary celebration. At this open house event, kids and parents can meet the culinary instructors, checkout the kid-friendly kitchen and taste treats Patricia's Table will be whipping up this summer. 10-14 yr olds Now have their own scuba dive programs tailor made for their specific age and development. PADI courses provide safe, fun way for young divers to discover scuba on their terms at their pace. All Youth programs are supervised and instructed by PADI professional dive instructors and Dive Masters.

We have 2 exciting 5 day scuba camps planned for your young diver. Seahorse and dolphin races, hand launched underwater torpedo competition, timed underwater obstacle course races, dive skills quiz, Buddy Team activities and much, much more. Sign your young diver up NOW for our Summer PADI SEAL TEAM Scuba Camps. Activities include Scuba Diving Instruction that leads your young diver to full PADI Scuba Diver Certification, games, races, assembly and dives on artificial reef systems, platforms, Deep Space 6 space station with solar panel array , wreck dives, river dives and a whole lot more. Your young diver needs to have basic snorkel gear. (Mask, fins and snorkel). If your diver does not have their own basic gear, we offer basic kits for sale or for rent. We provide all scuba gear.

The 2016 Austin Spurs Summer Basketball Camps will be held at Brushy Creek Community Center on June 13-17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and at Cedar Park Recreation Center on June 20-23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kids entering grades 3-9 are invited to come and work on their fundamental skills and have some fun doing it with Austin Spurs players! Campers should wear athletic shoes and clothes, bring snacks, a water bottle and a sack lunch. There will also be a pizza party on the last day of camp. Registration includes a T-shirt and five ticket vouchers to an Austin Spurs 2016-17 home game. The cost for the camp at Brushy Creek Community Center is $249, and the cost for the camp at Cedar Park Recreation Center is $199.

The Little Mermaid tells the story of Ariel, an adventurous young mermaid who's got a thing for disobeying the rules and following her heart. Ariel's fascination with the human world often leads her to the sea surface, a zone that's designated as "off-limits" by her father Triton, the sea king. One day while sneaking to the surface, Ariel witnesses a shipwreck and rescues Prince Eric, with whom she become instantly smitten. Furious at Triton's inability to understand her love for the prince, Ariel runs away and strikes a deal with Ursula, Triton's evil witch of a sister, to experience the life she dreams of on land. Come celebrate what keepin' it weird is all about at the 14th Annual Keep Austin Weird Festival + 5K on Saturday, June 25th! Dress up in your wildest, strangest costume and dive deep into the oddities of Austin culture. Want to be a hula dancing Yoda? What about a gymnast chicken? We say the weirder, the better! Don't forget to submit yourself in the costume contest (remember, your goal is to out-weird the rest).
From 3:00 to 10:00 there will be live bands to keep your feet moving as you shake, slide, or boogie your way through the uniquely Austin crafts, vendor booths, and food trailer favorites. Stop by the Dunk Tank to check out local celebrities getting soaked as they raise funds for the Capital Area Food bank! Then, swing by the must-see, eccentric attractions in this year's Sideshow; you don't want to miss out on the big-toe wrestling contests or armadillo races!
Be one with the weird as you make your way through what has been called the world's slowest 5K. Local businesses will be out on the course manning their own fun stops! Stop by the 10 fun stops along the course!
