Red Poppy Festival

The Red Poppy Festival marks the coming of spring and the arrival of the colorful springtime visitor, the Red Poppy Flower. These beautiful flowers have been a part of Georgetown heritage and landscape for over seventy years, a fact certified by the Texas legislature in naming Georgetown as the Red Poppy Capital of Texas.

The 2008 Festival will burst into bloom in April in historic downtown Georgetown. A Georgetown and Central Texas tradition, the Red Poppy Festival is a time to enjoy family and friends, music, food and fun! In addition, the Red Poppy Festival proceeds support facade and sign grants for Georgetown historic buildings.

Location: Georgetown, TX
